This is a step by step guide how to replace the kicker or entire gas strut assembly. The kicker is the plastic component on the gas struct what you push when you want the treadmill to go down. The gas struct enables the treadmill to slowly lower from the storage to running position.
Remove the lower gas strut bolt [152].
Take note of the kicker’s orientation. Remove the old kicker part.Â
Install the new kicker in the same orientation as the old unit. The bottom half of the gas strut should rest on the kicker when in the storage position.
Reinstall the lower gas strut bolts [152].
If the gas strut no longer clicks in place check the kicker’s orientation.Â
Remove the lower and upper gas strut bolt [152, 153].
Take note of the kicker’s orientation.
Install the new gas strut in the same orientation as the old unit. The bottom half of the gas strut should rest on the kicker when in the storage position.
Reinstall the lower gas strut bolts [152, 153].
If the gas strut no longer clicks in place check the kicker’s orientation.Â
