Introduction

This page goes over the NoblePro Elite Series noise level measurement. We know this is important to many people so we have taken the time to record the noise levels at different treadmill speeds.

How was it measured

The noise was measured at 1 m to the right of the motor cover and 1 m off the ground. The measurement environment was set in a house (so you can relate) with hard floors with no sound absorbing material in the room e.g. curtains. The measurement were taken with the treadmill off then at 1 km/hr, 10km/h and 20 km/hr with no one on the treadmill.

What is dB?

The decibels (dB) is the unit of measure for sound levels which uses a nonlinear scale. To get an idea of what dB levels mean in the real world have a look at this chart.

Other considerations

It is important to consider that these measurements are without someone using the treadmill. The users walking and running style has a big impact on the noise levels of the treadmill when in use.
