Kinni can use a compatible Apple Watch or Wear OS watch as a live heart-rate source during a supported NoblePro treadmill workout.
The available watch integration depends on your phone:
- Apple Watch works with Kinni on a paired iPhone.
- Wear OS watches, including compatible Pixel Watch models, work with Kinni on a paired Android phone.
The watch provides live heart-rate information while the Kinni app on your phone remains the main workout control surface.
How the watch integration works
During a supported phone-led Kinni workout:
- Kinni runs on your compatible iPhone or Android phone.
- Kinni connects to your compatible NoblePro treadmill.
- The paired watch provides live heart-rate readings to Kinni.
- You select the workout, start the session and stop the session from Kinni on your phone.
- Kinni records the session using the supported information available from the treadmill, watch and any other connected sensors.
Available treadmill data, watch data and control capabilities can vary by product, phone platform and connection type.
Using a watch with the E8ix and E10i
Kinni is also installed directly on the built-in touchscreen of the NoblePro Elite E8ix and Elite E10i.
The Apple Watch and Wear OS integrations described in Kinni’s current documentation are designed for phone-led Kinni workouts. The paired iPhone or Android phone remains the main Kinni control surface when using a watch as the live heart-rate source.
For the latest information about supported devices and how wearable features work with different Kinni setups, refer to the official Kinni documentation.
What the watch integration can do
Depending on your watch, phone and permissions, Kinni can:
- Receive live heart-rate readings during a supported Kinni workout.
- Show your current heart rate in beats per minute on supported Kinni screens.
- Confirm whether the watch is installed, connected and ready.
- Use Apple Watch during an iPhone-led Kinni run.
- Use a compatible Wear OS watch during an Android-led Kinni run.
- Show when permissions or additional setup require attention.
The watch should be paired with the same phone used to run Kinni. It should also be worn securely, unlocked where required and kept close to the phone during setup and use.
Apple Watch and Kinni
Apple Watch can provide live heart rate while you record a Kinni workout from your iPhone.
Kinni must be installed on the Apple Watch, and the required Apple Health permissions must be granted. The iPhone remains the main control surface for selecting, starting, stopping and reviewing the workout.
For current installation, permission and usage instructions, follow Kinni’s official guide:
Wear OS watches and Kinni
A compatible Wear OS watch, including a supported Pixel Watch, can provide live heart rate while you record a Kinni workout from your Android phone.
Kinni must be installed on the watch, and the required sensor permissions must be granted. The Android phone remains the main control surface for selecting, starting, stopping and reviewing the workout.
For current installation, permission and usage instructions, follow Kinni’s official guide:

Watches and health-platform synchronisation are different
Live watch heart rate and health-platform synchronisation are related, but they are separate Kinni capabilities:
- Apple Watch and Wear OS provide live heart-rate information during a phone-led Kinni workout.
- Apple Health and Health Connect are phone health stores used for supported completed-session import and export.
- Kinni Cloud keeps supported Kinni sessions, workouts and goals connected with your Kinni account.
- Treadmill connectivity allows Kinni to receive treadmill data and, where supported, control treadmill functions.
Setting up a watch does not automatically configure completed-session sharing with Apple Health or Health Connect.
For health-platform synchronisation, see:
Connect Apple Health or Health Connect to Kinni
What the watch does not do
An Apple Watch or Wear OS watch:
- Does not connect directly to the NoblePro treadmill through the Kinni watch integration.
- Does not control treadmill speed or incline.
- Does not replace Kinni’s treadmill connection.
- Does not replace the Kinni app on the compatible phone during a watch-supported run.
- Is not the same as Apple Health or Health Connect workout synchronisation.
